What are Basic Skills Tests?

These tests assess your readiness for entering a college of education and the teaching profession. These are entry-level skills to begin education studies, student teach and obtain a teaching certificate. Your skills in math, reading comprehension and writing will be tested. You should acquire information and strategy to match the difficulty of the exam. The type of questions and exercises you will go through may be quite challenging if you are out of practice or lack test familiarity. What is West-B?

West-B stands for Washington Educator Skills Test - Basic. It is the basic skills test used throughout the state of Washington. All individuals applying for admission to state-approved teacher preparation programs and teachers from other states applying for a Washington residency teaching certificate are required to meet the minimum passing score on the basic skills assessment.

Other states may require a different basic skills test. If your state requires you to take the CLAST, PRAXIS, NES, PPST, CBEST, or other basic skills test, you can benefit from this course too. This course will help you to pass your exam with less stress and guesswork.
