![]() Byham Takes the Reins of Continuing EducationTuesday, April 17, 2012 Contact: Douglas Lonowski ELLENSBURG, Wash - On May 1, Richard N. Byham will become Central’s new director of Continuing Education.
“I believe I can contribute positively to CWU’s goals for its students and professionals seeking continuing educational experiences,” Byham said.
For the past nine years, Byham has served as the senior director of Continuing Education and Corporate College at the University of South Florida (USF).
At USF, he led a 30-person staff and a more than $2 million auxiliary and self-sustaining educational unit, overseeing professional and workforce development, lifelong learning, testing, conference and administrative services, as well as the USF Downtown Center in Tampa, Florida.
Before he joined USF, Byham served as president of Human
Resources Techniques (HRT), Inc., Detroit, Michigan, where he provided
consulting and instructional support services to various clients including General
Motors University. Byham employed a diverse set of training delivery options,
including face-to-face, distance learning, e-learning, and one-on-one coaching. Byham received his Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 1977, and his Master of Business Administration in 1979 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. |
