With the New Year comes a new ProCert program for Central Washington University!

A flexible, collaborative program created for professionals, Central Washington University's ProCert is designed to work for you!

* 1 to 4 modules to fit your desired level of ProTeach portfolio support.

* NBCT facilitators and ETS-Trained facilitators available for Mentorship.

* Available at all CWU Centers and on-line.

* Applicable to CWU's Master Teacher degree.

* Courses available beginning Spring 2010.

 

Teacher ProTeach Portfolio Preparation Program

The ProTeach Portfolio Preparation Program provides the Teacher ProCert candidate with maximum options depending upon the degree of support desired – from learning the standards, to guidance in evidence gathering and evaluation, to preparation of the portfolio for submission for external assessment.  (2-8 credits over 3-4 quarters).

 

Program Application Fee: $85

 

Program Tuition: $534.52/course ($2138.08 for 8 credits) @ the 2009-2010 tuition rate

ECTL 602: Teacher Professional Certificate Portfolio Seminar I – 2 credits

·         Teacher ProCert Standards

·         Descriptions of Practice

·         Teacher ProCert Portfolio Entry Directions

·         Teacher ProCert Portfolio Rubrics

·         Offered quarterly, including summer session

 

ECTL 603: Gathering and Evaluating Quality Evidence – 2 credits

·         Gathering and evaluating evidence: principles & practices

·         Descriptive, analytic, and reflective writing: principles and practices

·         Prerequisite:, ECTL 602

·         Not offered in the summer

 

ECTL 604: Teacher Professional Certificate Field Work – 2 credits

·         Gathering and evaluating evidence: Field work

·         Descriptive, analytic, and reflective writing: Field work

·         Prerequisites: ECTL 602 and 603

·         Not offered in the summer

ECTL 608: Teacher Professional Certificate Portfolio Seminar II – 2 credits,

·         Preparation of the ProTeach portfolio

·         Review of the ProTeach portfolio, in light of the entry directions and rubrics

·         Submission of the ProTeach portfolio through the Washington ProTeach LiveText™ platform.

·         Prerequisites: ECTL 602 and 603

·         Offered Fall and Spring quarters
